12:51 PM – Patrols were dispatched to the area of the Main Line Train Station to investigate a report of two individuals causing a disturbance. Upon arrival officers located a 40-year-old woman, last known to live in Glen Rock, along with a 29-year-old homeless man who were both in a highly-intoxicated state. Both individuals were subsequently transported to Bergen Regional Medical Center for medical attention due to their acute state of intoxication.
3:01 PM – A Crestwood Drive resident reported that an unauthorized Verizon account had been opened in his name. The bill had been sent, in his name, to a relative’s address where he previously resided. Verizon has been notified and the Detective Bureau is reviewing the matter.
11:03 PM – A 26-year-old Hewitt man was detained by the Wayne Police Department on a warrant issued by the Glen Rock Municipal Court. Unable to post $1,212 bail, he was taken into custody by P.O. Adam Pyatak and P.O. Sam Evans and transported to the Bergen County Jail.
11:20PM – A Harristown Road resident reported that a fraudulent advertisement had been placed on Craigslist.com stating that her house was for rent. The false advertisements are part of a known scam intended to defraud potential renters out of deposit money. Craigslist was contacted and the ad was taken down. The matter has been referred to the Detective Bureau for review.
11:50 PM – A South Highwood resident reported his son had left his bicycle, along with several others, in front of their home at about 10:30 PM. At 11:10 PM when he went back outside the bicycle was missing, but the other bicycles remained. There are no known witnesses.
11:11 AM – A resident of the 500 block of Rock Road reported that an Amazon package valued at $ 20 was stolen from her front steps on July 6th. According to Amazon tracking information the package had been delivered at 9:30 AM. The complainant had retrieved her mail at 11 AM and the package was gone. There are no known witnesses.
5:37 PM – A 54-year-old Paterson man was detained by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Department on a warrant issued by the Glen Rock Municipal Court. Unable to post $1,000 bail, he was taken into custody by Sgt. Rob Wojtecki and P.O. John Tarantino and transported to the Bergen County Jail.
10:12 AM – During the course of a motor vehicle stop on Saddle River Road and Prospect Street, P.O. Nick Onove arrested a 33-year-old Paterson woman who was wanted by the Seaside Heights Municipal Court on a warrant with $400 bail. She was transported to Police HQ where she posted bail and was released pending an appearance in Seaside Heights Municipal Court.
