10:27 PM – A Cornwall Road resident reported discovering unauthorized transactions on his Best Buy credit card. A total of $2,068.36 in purchases had been made at a Best Buy store in the Bronx by an unknown person. The complainant had notified the credit card company. The matter has been referred to the Detective Bureau for review.

3:34 PM – Patrols responded along with the Glen Rock Fire Department to investigate the report of a trailer on fire in the parking lot of Opici Wine at 25 De Boer Drive. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a power line had come down during a thunderstorm setting a wooded area on fire which spread to the trailer. Service on the NJ Transit Main Line Rail Road was also affected and had to be shut down.

Once PSE&G shut down the power, firefighters from Glen Rock, Fair Lawn, Hawthorne and Ridgewood were able to contain and extinguish the fire.

6:32 PM – A grey Ford Edge legally parked in the commercial parking lot at 519 Broad Street was struck by a hit and run driver. The accident occurred at an unknown time during the day. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident and can identify the vehicle involved is asked to contact the Glen Rock Police Department at (201) 6652-3800.

6:29 PM – During the course of a motor vehicle stop on Fairview Avenue, P.O. T.J. Graziani arrested a 57-year-old Hawthorne woman who had an active warrant issued by the North Haledon Municipal Court. The woman was transported to Police HQ where she posted $300 bail and was released.

Following the last day of school Glen Rock’s Crossing Guards were honored at a Luncheon courtesy of Victor Quinn at the Glen Rock Inn. Adult school crossing guards, first established in Glen Rock during the early 1950’s, play an important role in the lives of our school children. They help them safely cross the street at key locations.

6:30 PM – The manager of Bottle King Liquors reported that a female patron attempted to purchase alcohol with a fraudulent Maryland Drivers License. Following a subsequent investigation, P.O. James Mc Gill arrested an 18-year-old Ridgewood female for possession of a forged government document. The actor was processed at police HQ and released on her own recognizance pending an appearance in Glen Rock Municipal Court on July 18th

2:43 PM – A Ferndale Avenue resident reported that a flag was taken from in front of her home sometime overnight. There are no known witnesses.

4:31 AM – During the course of a motor vehicle stop on Route 208 North, P.O. John Tarantino arrested three individuals on drug related charges. In their possession were 3 bundles and 1 loose glassine bag of heroin (31 glassine bags), 7 fentanyl patch packages, 4 baggies of cocaine and 3 glass pipes with suspected drug residue.

A 29-year-old Ridgefield man was charged with possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. He was processed at Police HQ and released on his own recognizance pending an appearance before Superior Court Central Judicial Processing in Hackensack on July 7th.

A 38-year-old Ridgefield woman was charged with possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. She was processed at Police HQ and released on her own recognizance pending an appearance before Superior Court Central Judicial Processing in Hackensack on July 7th.

A 32-year-old Palisades Park man was charged with possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia. He was processed at Police HQ and transported to the Bergen County Jail pending an appearance before Superior Court Central Judicial Processing.
